KIM Jihye  金 知慧

    

KIM Jihye, born in 1993 in South Korea, is currently based in Tokyo and Seoul.

Specializing in printmaking and art theory, KIM reinterprets the fundamental principles of analog printmaking—imprint, record, and output—from a contemporary perspective, connecting them to profound philosophical inquiries. Furthermore, she explores the boundaries between analog and digital media, conducting interdisciplinary experiments that integrate technology and art.

In 2024, She is pursuing a doctoral program in the Printmaking Laboratory at Tokyo University of the Arts. She earned her Master’s degree in Printmaking from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2021 and her Bachelor’s degree in Printmaking and Art Theory (double major) from Hongik University in South Korea in 2018.

Her recent exhibitions include the 2022 solo exhibition 'Sequence' at Gallery Soumei-do in Tokyo, as well as numerous group exhibitions based in Seoul and Tokyo.
